Adam Smith: the ultimate hero?

Adam Smith (1723 – 1790) has featured on English money for as long as I can remember – a fascinating creature for those who identify as followers of the invisible hand or free market economics.

I’ve played around with the idea of regulation a fair bit – hey ho, I ended up doing a Masters in the financial aspect of it… which is why I suddenly felt the urge to feature a post in his honour to encourage some of you to read his pieces.

Smith’s The Theory of Moral Sentiments and The Wealth of Nations,  have been consistent materials on the reading list for students of political science, economics and philosophy.

For anyone interested in political economic theories, certain an interesting place to start.
