The power of friendship

“That great must be the difference between a Mrs Weston only half a mile from them, and a Miss Taylor in the house” – excerpt from Emma, Jane Austen

Friendship is a beautiful thing. I remember watching a film when I was younger about the meaning of it – all things always come down to one answer, love. Friendship is love.

I remember not quite understanding – it was perplexing that love (that indicated something different in all the Disney movies) could be friendship.

The beauty of friendship hit me when I lost it for the first time. Friends come and go… a few more permanent than others.

Life is filled with beautiful people – millions of things happen to each of  these people and the sad reality of it (and beauty), is that you can’t be with each and every one of those people all the time. You spend some time with them, but then you have to let go.

I guess you have to make the most of every moment you have with people – and give them everything you can give.

Things change, situations change and heck people change. I think the hardest part is when there’s a change circumstances.

Life’s a rollercoaster, get ready for the fall and live each dip a little harder.
